The Pixel 9a seems pretty cool. Never used #android and don’t plan to switch anytime soon (haha just got the iPhone 16 months ago!) but this seems to be a good alternative for not just getting the Pixel 9 – pretty much the same just without some AI features, and slightly worise performance?

hmmm having issues right now! so on jglypt.omg.lol I have a really good landing page, but then on j4ck.xyz I have my actual website with content, etc…
both on different things (omg.lol and micro.blog)… need to somehow make the landing page appear like the first thing people go to…
Seeing the rings on the calendar view of the Apple Fitness app is so satisfying
some join the #StreamPlace development livestream!
“we’re gonna do a very powerful open source model” 👀
part of that could just be trying to get people back interested in openai, but i am pretty excited to see what they’re working on.. he also just mentioned that they had some community session last night? i saw on twitter that ollama was there!
watching sam altman at TED – wonder if he’s going to talk about buying his own company 😝
heh, of course. over the next few years everything will be a mess. rules here and there, but with all these little *s next to it

alright! i think i finally got OpenWebUI working! gave up on the Pi, but got it working on a friend’s VM (server?) and can access it via Tailscale :D – here we go local AI + OpenRouter API keys :)
went for a walk with my friend again, was fun 👌 better than studying haha
POSSE (https://www.citationneeded.news/posse/) is so cool. I am currently posting on my website – where the content actually exists – and it’s posted across to Bluesky, Mastodon, Threads and Twitter. All seemlessly (well, Twitter is a bit limited and weird since I have to use IFTTT for it).
once again, having issues with installing Raspberry Pi OS lite on my Pi. Flashing the SD card with the image for the 2nd time this morning now :?

so books exist, sure, but I find the idea of having a local offline LLM being able to run on a pocket-sized computer offline so cool. over the coming years they’ll become less stupid and wherever you are you have access to quickly search a large amount of information 👀
lmao why are republicans on X only interested in peoples’ intelligence? 💀
current status: added some credits to OpenRouter… now setting up OpenWebUI on my Raspberry Pi (accessible across my Tailnet though!)
Interesting popup on ChatGPT:
GPT-4 will be sunset on April 30 and replaced by GPT-4o, our newer, more capable model. Try GPT-4o for writing, coding, STEM, and more—it’s intuitive, collaborative, and great at following instructions.
I’m not exactly surprised they’re sunsetting it due to it being hidden in the UI, and being replaced by cheaper, more efficient models, but it’s interesting that a model that was so good 1 year ago is already going now :/
Not a surprise! the AI world moves fast haha
random thought but I swear I prefer the Apple EarPods over the AirPods sometimes…
•on AirPods (2g+), earwax easily clogs the grille, making volume uneven—I experience this a lot, and it seems common
•ik you can disable but auto pause back when you remove an AirPod gets a lil annoying sometimes
what’s the best #byok (bring your own key) LLM/AI apps for Linux? ChatWise is good on Windows and Mac but doesn’t work on linux through Bottles/Wine, etc…
