2 big types of IO in the last 24h..

Now it’s time for Apple to either Innovate or become Obsolete.

The new OpenAI x Jony Ive deal is really cool!

also it’s really creepy how just hours ago I said he shold rejoin Apple :P

jony ive needs to return to apple

you know i’m cooked when i’m installing chromeos flex on my laptop to see if i can use it with better battery life 😅

let’s see how this goes. maybe back to debian otherwise. just sick of always plugging it in :P

Finally!! Got some rain again (I think)

my Tapestry, Bluesky, YT and Twitter timelines are all full from all the stuff announced at #GoogleIO lmao – Google shipped a lot!

I think Google had an event today..!

A series of news headlines from "The Verge" are displayed in a smartphone feed interface.

Interesting note about Google’s AI products with creators is that they seem to be showing it working with or alongside them, not entirely replacing. Good I think, although hopefully it stays that way aha

“A few weeks ago, Gemini completed Pokemon Blue! omg

hmm, Sundar is saying that they’re shipping AI models all-year round opposed to JUST on Google I/O events – is this gonna lower expectations for today?

#googleio

Sundar is up! Let’s go!

google using all ai-generated image/video in the intro is gonna be controversial (personally I don’t mind but :P)

no matter what people think of the ai music, i think google’s whole stage is pretty cool (even tho it’s not exactly “new”) and i LOVE how they actually do live events unlike Apple’s prerecorded ones.. although i can’t remember how much of this is pre-recorded vs a live demo.

#GoogleIO

A large outdoor event features a stage with a presenter and audience, showcasing a screen displaying various charts and app icons.

i’m ready for #google i/o!

gonna have deck.blue open with the live feed :)

bsky feed -> bsky.app/profile/d…

starts in ~35m!

#googleio

A digital scene features a colorful, abstract 3D environment with cubes, clouds, and geometric shapes, alongside a streaming interface showing a "Google I/O" keynote session placeholder.

huh - anyone know what happened here?

this was from yesterday (I think) where #Microsoft had their event thing.. around 50s-1m in you can hear people shouting at the back?

www.youtube.com/watch

I’ve seen a MS thing before where people were protesting.. what’s it for?

Excited to watch Google I/O tonight! Nice way to start my 2 weeks “off”* before my next set of exams

*still working in between ofc 🥲🙃

Ooh! New version of Tapestry!

The sound effects are really fun! 🤣 (sounds a bit like Ivory/Tweetbit) + the interaction in-app is super useful :)

A hand holds a smartphone surrounded by icons for social media actions like like, boost, and bookmark, with text detailing new features in Tapestry version 1.2.

oh yh did something really dumb. I was putting my phone in my bag before the (2 hours 15 minutes!!) English literature GCSE earlier, but I think I clicked the camera control button. Came out and my phone was REALLY hot & had dropped to 35% (from ~90%)

hope it didn’t too too much damage to the 🔋

yayyy! the 3 tests today were all good I think! English lit was decent, physics practical you never know how it goes, but OCR computer science paper 2 was soo much better than I thought - it was 1h30m in total but I was done in 50m 😅 (so were a lot of others luckily).

We’ll find out in August ig..

goodnight! 3 exams tomorrow 😅 stressed to say the least… but at least then I’m done for the week, then half term! done most of my GCSEs after tomorrow 🙏🤞
