Sebastiaan de With of Lux Camera, the team behind Halide wrote an interesting blog post of the history of iOS (early days, shift to iOS 7, nowadays) and compared it to visionOS. The designs are SO good! I really hope the upcoming iOS 26(?) will look like this!

A collage of close-up shots showcases user interface (UI) elements rendered in glass or a glass-like material, set against dark backgrounds.&10;&10;* **Shot 1:** A circular app icon with a geometric design is featured. The icon appears to be made of transparent glass with subtle reflections and refractions on its surface.&10;* **Shot 2:** An abstract time display made of glass rods, with hands made of the same glass material.&10;* **Shot 3:** A translucent glass panel displays user interface controls, including icons representing people and multimedia controls (play/pause, star). The icons are minimalistic and rendered in glass.&10;* **Shot 4:** A UI for filtering photos by time. "Years" and "Months" appear as filter options, with a blurred forest scene visible above and concrete texture below. All the buttons and UI elements are made of glass. The word "Gallery" is written on the concrete part.&10;&10;The consistent use of glass gives the UI a sleek, modern, minimalist aesthetic. The transparency and reflections add depth, creating a sophisticated look.
